Smart SMS was registered in June 2003. The system was developed in-house and
went into production in February 2004. The "Team" has over 25 years of IT experience
with the last 5 years being mostly involved with website design for large corporates and SME's.
We have clients in almost every field, from Beauty Salons,
Video Stores, Chartered Accountants, Social Clubs, Sports Clubs, Motor Service centres,
New and Used Car dealers, Opticians, Veterinary Clinics, Dentists, Boutiques and Nursery Schools.
Our clients range from small users, who use 200 SMS's per month to large corporates who take
10 000+ per month. Our clients are also from all parts of South Africa from Louis Trichardt in
the North, to Cape Town in the south.
We have a number of different solutions.
- Bulk SMS - Where you maintain client details on our website, Group these clients, type
a single message and send it to all, or a selected group of your clients.
- Appointment Reminders - You enter the names, numbers, dates and times of upcoming
appointments, and each person gets a personalized reminder.
- Automatic Appointment Reminders - These are held on one of our servers. A sentry
program checks the database at 15 minute intervals. If an appointment is set to be sent
then a message is formulated using the data on the database and sent to the recipient.
- SMS to SMS - Your client data is held on an offline server. You are given a trigger
command. You send this command followed by an asterisk (*) and the message you want sent to
our server and the server then sends the message to all your clients
- Email to SMS - You send an email containing your message to our server, which then
sends the message to all your clients.
- Fax to SMS - Instead of an email, you send a Fax, we do the rest.
- Phonebook/Client maintenance - With the services that are run from the offline server,
we maintain your client database on your behalf. You send updates via, Fax or Email and we do
the rest. You needn't have a PC.
We send anything from 20 to 100+ automatic birthday messages daily on behalf of our clients. Some
even have a customized message attached.
As you can see, we have the ability to design, develop and implement any solution to fit your particular
requirements.
Not only do we use an online Gateway, which has the capability of sending 25 SMS's per second,
but we also have stand-alone modems on offline servers for messages originating from SMS's,
Faxes or Emails.
Future - A number of projects are being developed currently
- Scheduled Messages - Enter a message to be sent at a later date or time.
- Customer Requests - As and when clients request changes to the system which will make their
lives easier. We like to feel the system belongs to YOU.
